Reasons: insufficient roundness of the sprocket, uneven chain wear, deformation of the countershaft, loosening of the fastening nut, excessive gear clearance or quality problems.
Chain is indefinite
Reasons: insufficient roundness of the sprocket, uneven chain wear, deformation of the countershaft, loosening of the fastening nut, excessive gear clearance or quality problems.
Solution: Replace the worn sprocket/chain, check and correct the countershaft, tighten the nut, and adjust the gear clearance.
Chain falling off or abnormal noise
Cause: chain slack, sprocket tooth top wear, sprocket axial runout, sprocket and chain misalignment.
Solution: Adjust the chain sag to 15-20mm, replace the worn parts, and correct the rear wheel position.
Abnormal wear
Reason: the chain is too tight, the lubrication is insufficient, the sprocket material is inferior.
Solution: Keep the chain moderately tight, lubricate it regularly, and choose high-quality sprockets.
